Can you believe it is October already? Time for pumpkins, fall leaves and Halloween. I am honored to be sharing my Monster City Trunk or Treat display as part of this year's Trunk or Treat blog hop, hosted by Tikkido and sponsored by Oriental Trading. Be sure to check out the links to everyone blog hop contribution at the end of this post.

Trunk or Treat events are often held at schools, churches or in areas where houses are far apart. People decorate the trunks of their automobiles so that children can treat or treat from each trunk. It creates a fun and safe place for families to celebrate Halloween.

Monster City Trunk Or Treat Display

Being a cottage food baker, I had to decorate my trunk so that it was cupcake friendly. All of the neighborhood kids can enjoy a homemade chocolate cupcake and clear containers full of different candies. What is Halloween without candy of course?!

I am in love with these skyscraper cupcake stands. They are so versatile and the foam monsters (monster puppet craft kits)  worked perfectly in them along with my cupcakes for my theme.

I am a DIY enthusiast so, I repurposed several items for my display. These whimsical MONSTER CUPCAKE BOXES were made using monster photo booth props and cupcake boxes. They really popped the bold black and white striped table runner.

The large purple monster backdrop is actually a door decoration for classrooms and a plastic tablecloth roll. My MONSTER TABLE BANNER was made from monster puppet kits and some fishing line I had on hand.

Everything for my display was from Oriental Trading except for the balloons & candy (from Target) and the cupcakes (from Fronie Mae Bakes). I couldn't be more pleased with the items I received from Oriental Trading. They really made this display easy to create and so much fun to look at.
