Can you believe we are half way through January? That means less than a month until Valentine's Day! I love this SWEET holiday, with all of the pinks and red decorations and of course the treats. In case you missed it, I recently shared a simple Plaid Valentine Melting Moments cookie recipe over on A Blissful Nest last week, perfect for Valentine's gift giving.
Today I am excited to share a delicious EASY to make SUPER moist cherry cupcake. These pretty pink cupcakes pair well with either vanilla or chocolate frosting. Why are they so easy to make? Well they only contain 4 simple ingredients that you may have one hand already. Shall we get started?
EASY SUPER MOIST CHERRY CUPCAKES
These cherry cupcakes are super moist and fluffy and taste amazing topped with your favorite vanilla or chocolate buttercream frosting. Here is the list of ingredients you will need.
- 1 White Cake Mix
- 21 ounce can of Cherry Pie Filling
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon Almond Extract
- Your favorite vanilla or chocolate frosting
Step 1: Mix together by hand in a large bowl, the cake mix, cherries, eggs and almond extract.
Step 2: Place 24 cupcake liners into cupcake pans. Fill each liner about 2/3 full of batter.
Step 3: Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Insert a toothpick into the center of a cupcake, if it pulls out clean your cupcakes are done. If batter still appears on toothpick, bake for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Step 4: Carefully remove cupcakes from pans to cool. Frost with your choice of vanilla or chocolate frosting.
Make these cupcakes for your next party or give them to friends as a sweet surprise!
